I've been coming here for a couple months now. The people that work here are really good(morning shift specifically). Basic winchells but they're VERY friendly and helpful.
My go to are the fritters and the Boston Crème. Every single time is fresh & delicious. The fritters do not have huge chunks of fruit but are still very good and stay true to classic recipes. What I like the best about Winchell's is that is not over laden with sugar.
I was going to go to Kelly's but it was closed so I got a donut for dessert. Kathy helped me here today and she told me that the donut I chose was called the French Cruller. This is one of the softest donut. I never knew the name all these years! Lol. They still had a wide selection, but I just got the one chocolate French cruller. Delish
